Day 1

so cute,,,love u dear…

Day 1

So its been raining cats and dogs all day/night. Thankfully there has finally been a break in the storm but the unfortunate part is that it has turned our winter wonderland into an ice rink for the masses. My daughter doesn’t seem to mind though, she’s out there living it up – oh what I would give to be a child again. There are many things i just can’t believe I used to do. Example: my daughter runs outside with her coat wide open, no mitts just adrenaline to keep her warm and then there’s mom who layers up. Just isn’t the same as it used to be. My hubby, the poor thing – he’s stuck working in -20 temperatures for 3 weeks of every month. Its crazy and so cold. Knobby Knees

Coolll….

As a little girl, I would sing and sing. I can remember standing in our upstairs playroom holding the remote to my petit pink lips, belting ‘Country Roads’ in front of an audience of my teddy bears and Barbie dolls. Thinking back, I had absolutely no worries. The idea of being “self-conscious” was not one I was familiar with.

My sister and I got into town on the 23rd and on the 24th, yes Christmas Eve, my dad and I headed out to start car shopping. I test drove a used and new 2012 Jetta that day but the prices weren’t right and the car just didn’t “feel right” to me. We headed back out to another car dealer the day after Christmas and I test drove a used 2011 Jetta that I really liked. It had both the heated seats and the sunroof that…

Everybody Wants to Change the World… But, Nobody Wants to Change.

Let Us Be Travelers

“You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world.”

Haiti

I am on the forensics and debate team at my school. I compete mainly in acting events, but one of my events I give a speech. I was looking through my laptop, and I found my speech from last year. I have not read it in months, and I read it tonight. I thought I would share it with you all, and, hopefully, you will be inspired.

If you had the chance to change the world, what would you imagine? Some of you would think substantive: halt all wars and riots, end world poverty, find the cure for cancer. While others would think on a smaller scale: lower taxes, free health care, or maybe even change the attitude of…
